Okay, a few questions about this company. I've read bad reviews about their shipping practices and their charges for shipping. Anyone have experiences with them? Second, why in the world do they list some cards for such a high price? I mean, way higher than market on many many many cards. I don't get it. Is there something I am missing?

They don't list cards, owners do it. COMC business is consignation. Owners send their cards to COMC, they're displayed on their site and COMC takes a cut when one buys them. Shipping is charged to the buyer by COMC.

COMC doesn't price the cards, the owners of the cards do.
I have always found their shipping to be good, both the pricing and the packaging. Except for one time when buying different types of items (Pinnacle Mint coins and cards shipped together) the packaging of the coin marked a card that was packed next to it. That time, they were very responsive to my complaint, they offered an acceptable solution, and trained the packaging department in improved packing methods. The next time I ordered a similar mix of items, they were packed well to prevent the same thing from happening again.

Any truth to the claims that they used PWEs?
I knew they were consignment but I thought that they somehow had a hand in pricing. So dang, some of these sellers think they are indeed sitting on gold.

Never seen a PWE from them. They have flat rate shipping on most things, exceptions are cards not purchased through the site, meaning cards from Upper Deck epack or if you have cards shipped to your comc mailbox from an outside source

Gotcha. That's good to know. I have generally avoided them because of the reviews that I read back whenever that was. Guess I will start paying attention. Thanks everyone for the responses.

I have purchased over 2,000 cards from them. Yes a few issues but they made them right. Getting slower nowdays to get replies from them. The best thing is you can buy a card and have they hold it for you until you want it. I have them hold cards until I get 100 cards and then ship them to me. That way I get a $5 credit the next month which pays for my next shipment. They do have a .25 per card fee. Which I call a handling fee not shipping. With that the cheapest you can get a card is .26 if the seller is dumping it for .01 Yes there are a few and you have to be quick to find them. Shipping is slow if you do not pay for a faster rate. There is a processing fee .30 for the seller and with the handling fee makes the commons priced higher then other sites.
YES there are sellers that have their prices way to high and they keep them for years. I do not understand some of the seller's prices. The sellers with large amounts of cards have a hard time keeping all their cards priced right IMO That may explain why some are so high.

I use it to buy alot of cards at once to save on the shipping charges. Last Thursday I ordered 42 Saints or Archie Manning cards and they showed up at my door yesterday. Shipping was $5. Most were low end cards that would have killed my budget with the shipping if I bought that many from anyone else. I too run into a price problem with some of their listings. The 2015 Topps orgnge border cards of the Saints are ridicously priced. As much as I need them, I can't afford to buy them yet. All in all, I am pleased with them.

That’s dependent on what the seller offers as shipping options and what the buyer chooses. I’ve started selling on there recently. I offer economy shipping up to x number of cards in a pwe or you can choose premium shipping and it comes in a bubble mailer. I spell everything out so you know what you’re getting. The sellers set their shipping rates and types so I’m sure there’s some variation but I checked several sellers when I set up mine and most were similar to this. I can’t speak to how Sportlots sends your box orders but I doubt it’s by pwe.
