Any of you have any game used items? Not cards, the whole shebang? If so, what do you have and how did you acquire it?

A good way to get them is from reliable and reputable sellers or auction houses. There's a few of them, such as https://www.classicauctions.net where Bobby Hull was signing items last week.

I was asking more to see what folks have and to hear the stories about how the items were acquired, whether by auction, direct from the player, etc. But thanks for the link, I will check them out!

Had. When I was a kid I had a New York Yankees jersey. A friend of the family worked at Yankee Stadium and "acquired' it. I have no idea what happened to it.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

I have a game-used receivers glove from an FCS football game. I don't even know who it came from. Some kid got and apparently didn't want it, so he walked up, stuck it in my hand, mumbled, "some player gave me this," and walked away, leaving me too dumbfounded to process what had happened and respond to him.
My son had a ball tossed to him by Torii Hunter, Jr. between innings and got it signed after the game. That's a better story.

I got a bat from the West Michigan Whitecaps that a player tossed to me after the game because it was broken.

I have a 2003 game-used bat from the Burlington Indians of the Appalachian League. They used to sell the broken ones for fans to get signed. I guess I should say "cracked" bats. They weren't fully broken, but would not survive another contact. I didn't get autos on it b/c I used a team photo for signatures. It has the player's number on the knob, but I still haven't figured out who used it (and cracked it good).
My only other is a PSA/DNA certified game-used ball signed by Ken Griffey Jr.. My Mom got that one for me at an auction raising funds for the Postal Workers Union a couple of years ago. She COMPLETELY surprised me with that for my 40th birthday! During that auction, she texted me asking what I would pay for such an item. After clarifying it was Jr. and not Sr., I told her what I thought. She texted me back that she stopped at $150, which was what I told her I would go to. She never said that she did OR didn't win the ball. I was speechless when I opened that present a few weeks later! I did post a pic here in a thread about it in July 2018.

I have a fair collection of Hut Stricklin race-used items, mostly purchased at auctions with a few coming directly from the teams, including a hood, deck lid, roof panel, wheel, and two quarter panels from various Circuit City cars, a Quaker State bumper, a McDonald's roof, and a badly wrecked Barbasol quarter panel from the only pole he won in the Grand National series. I also have one practice and two race-used driver suits, a helmet, two pair of gloves, a pair of shoes, a steering wheel, a pit banner, and about 30 pieces of crew worn uniforms from various teams, about evenly split between race day and shop items. Hope to have a place to display at least some of those in our new house.
