What is the oddest card you have seen people putting into a screw down or one touch? I bought a collection that had a 1986 Roger Craig MGR card in one of those thick screw down plexis.

Not as odd, but I got a Jeremy Shockey rookie card in a box of random stuff from my local hobby store. Can understand hoping he reaches super star status, and he had a very solid career, but odd to slab a card that is only worth $2 in a good day to the right buyer. Wouldn't even cover shipping costs.

Oh, Card protector....that makes much more sense than my original thought. (I was going to say a rusty old Ford Pinto).

Back in '94 I traded an Upper Deck Collectors Choice Kevin Stocker Gold Signature for '92 Score Dimaggio insert. I looked it up in the Beckett guides and was convinced it was the auto and worth $1,500 back then. Needless to say the facsimile went into the screw-down, where it remains.

I am just teasing. I type in poor lighting and usually have to edit a post once or twice to say what I want.

I have run across cards that I say hmm about in screw downs but then I stop and say to myself, it is not about the monetary value of a card it is about what value that collector places on a card. One time I saw a Jeff Reardon base card in a screwdown but the person was a major fan so meh. They probably think it is strange for me to have a 1988 Fleer Edgar Martinez in a 1" screwdown too.

I could see a Roger Craig card with a Bums uniform but the MGR card had me asking why.
