Does anyone spend time/effort compiling your own 9-card mini-collections? I am considering building a single page set for each of the Dodgers' World Series Champion teams. So, the 9 cards of the 2020 World Series might include Buehler, Kershaw, and Urias across the top row, with Bellinger, Betts, and Seager in the middle, and then Will Smith, Justin Turner, and Joc Pederson to round off the bottom.
The '55 team would be Don Newcombe, Roy Campenella, Gil Hodges, Jackie Robinson, Pee Wee Reese, Billy Loes, Sandy Amoros, Duke Snider, and Carl Furillo.
My questions are:
1) If you do this, are you a stickler for the card being of the same year for everyone? Like, would it be OK to use a 2018 card for the 2020 player, or a 1953 Topps Don Newcombe instead of a '55, for instance.
2) How do you display these? In their own binder? WIth a newspaper clipping from the World Championship? What are some ideas.
3) If I create my own "collection" to track these, can I set want-lists that are collection specific so that once I get a card of a player for that set I can remove it easily from my trade list?
Thanks all! I would love to hear about your own mini collections here!
