I quit trading for all the reasons others have listed in this thread; plus a few that I will keep to myself.
When I did return it was with the attitude you outlined below. I try to walk that line...but dang, other people make it tough.
DyeHardFan....are you a military veteran by any chance?

Just wondering cause similar training is offered for some to some veterans.
I suppose IT guys get their share of stressors thrown at them too.

I will agree that if a trade seems massively lopsided then a non-response seems understandable, but if it's slightly off or if there's evidence that the other person was trying enough to make a decent swap, it'd likely be worth responding that one will need a little more for such-and-such a card(s). Suggesting what that little more might be would be helpful as well, even including a few options so the other person can weigh what is worth the added effort to make a trade sync up better.

I have seen the frusration coming through in a lot of posts this last couple of months, from both newbies and guys who been here a long time. Do not know if it is the COVID, the shutdowns or just plain burn out.
IMO everything we are complaiining about has happen before and will happen again. It feels good just to get it out some times. Maybe I will blow off some steam later but as now I'm feel no need to do that.

Well said James. I'm with you my biggest pet peeve isn't with trades its with how members treat each other on some posts. I know I have been contacted by new members asking if this happens a lot , I tell them Covid has made some people stir-crazy and this didn't really happen till lately. We all need to take a breathe and count to 10 sometimes. I understand where some of the comments come from and why. It just seems like some reply's come across very condescending even if that wasn't the intent.
This is the best site I've found to help with our cardboard addiction. The L-8's do a great job but don't always get the proper thanks for it. Admin thanks for creating and keeping this site the #1 site out there.
Let's all take a step back and show a little more Love and X-mas spirit, especially at this time of the year.

Lots of valid thoughts in this thread, some I completely identify with.
The key is for everyone, both the proposer and the proposee, to put themselves in the other person's shoes. "How would I want to be interacted with?" etc.

A man has to have goals — for a day, for a lifetime — and that was mine, to have people say, "There goes Ted Williams, the greatest hitter who ever lived."
