That actually looks like A wax stain on the card and is easy enough to get off so EX is a fair grade IMHO

Aside from the stains on the front, I don't see any major flaws with this. I'd give it an EX

I'm a tough grader. But if it is only wax, you would think they would clean it up before listing. I agree that wax removes farily easily in most cases.. But at times it leaves a dullness This wax looks as though it pick up a lot of dirt through the years. As is, I will stick with the poor.

People have interesting interpretations of grading. This should not be EX in anyone's book. Not sure I would call it a Poor (1) only because I see no major damage or creases. I would put this at a Good (3).

Question for all, does the age of the card come into play when you are assigning a grade? To me a Mint card from the 60s should be as Mint as a card from 2020.

Age does not and cannot matter. Mint is mint regardless. That being said, you may choose to be more willing to accept a lower grade based on age.

I agree with RW - IMO this is definitely not EX but Poor is too harsh. I would say Good or Fair. Look at the edges on the backside.

I'll just echo the others as well - reading the grading scale in the description of the card's listing, I would grade this card as "Good." Without any major creases or paper loss, "Poor" feels overly harsh to me. If it was any worse than it looks now though, I would think "Good" was too generous.
I also agree that "Mint" is "Mint" - no matter the age, but my standards for what's an acceptable condition drop as the age of the card increases. I also find myself holding onto Football cards in worse condition than I would keep baseball cards. Maybe because it's a contact sport? But it might have more to do with me not actively collecting or particularly caring about most of my football cards.

This is why I hate to sell or trade the older cards. If I list it as good one guy will be very happy as he thinks it is EX When the other guy thinks it is poor and he is not happy at all.
Without being able to take or send pictures it would be hard.
I have cards that I think is Mint but other may think they are Near mint or lower.
As far as this card is I would say Good.
