Hey there people I'm a chatty cat today. I have been uplaoding gaggles of packaging images while on vaca this year as my closet shelves were full. I am almost done my various stuff but have about 45 OPC hobby boxes, blaster boxes etc that all have the box bottoms on them. My question is what is the proper way of storing these as to date I have left them all as is and they take up a TON of space. Is there a method to anyone's madness on this, is there an accepted practice? I have no clue what to do with them. Any help would be freakin' fantastic!!! =)

Are they empty? I used to save a ton of boxes like that, and I finally got disgusted with the space they were taking up and the lack of ability to display them, so I got (borrowed from my wife) a really nice paper cutter and trimmed the bottoms off and put them in 8.5"x11" plastic pages so I could get them in binders. I kept the 4-card panel intact, with a border. (I did have them nested as much as possible as it was, but they still took up more space than I care to think about!)

LOL yup empty ............ only if they were full !!! I just didnt know what the hobby did as a normal practice? Is it OK to cut up the boxes? Or just do what ever your heart desires.

If you want to display - cut.

If you want to sell - sell intact.

 You can save space by simply flattening them.   If you already did that,  you can cut out the bottom.  I have sold these on Ebay so when I cut them,  I always leave excess so the buyer can cut it they way he wants.   Less chance for error on my end.

Thanks guys, who knows what I will do with them, keep, sell, turn into mulch (i'm kidding) but I guess I just have to make a decision and go with it. Your info was greatly appreciated. =)
