I just looked up the 7-11 in Virginia Beach where I bought my first packs from in 1977. It is now a Quick Mart.

Checked Google Maps to find the convenience store where card packs were a mere 5 cents each back in the mid 60's. Appears as though times have changed in Brandon, Manitoba since then...

When I got my first packs of cards ot was probably late 70s early 80s. The 2 main stores would have been either the 5 and 10 or Ann Wrights store. The 5 and 10 building is no longer there. It was torn down for extra parking for the church located behind it. Ann's building is still there but the new owner used it has his house shortly after he bought the store. In the early 90s when I got back in it was the lcs. But it too closed. I think it has a printing shop in it. Im no longer in the town of Oxford PA. But do have some fond memories of buying and trading with friends from school. Thanks for the trip down memory lane

The first pack of cards I bought were at Dollar Tree. The cards were obviously a dollar, but they were repacks of 50 cards. They were both Football and Baseball.

First card purchase was a binder of 70's and 80's hockey cards from a garage sale in 1991, in hindsight spent way too much on them at the time for the condition they were in. After that it was any number of LCS that popped up around me, none of which lasted more than a couple years. There was also the 7-11 close to me. That was my highschool years, got out of it for a long time and came back around 2014. I can still mentally picture where all those LCS were.

I could probably buy the already complete sets cheaper somewhere else, but I like getting my maildays.

Back in the late 70s when I played little league they would give each kid a ticket after the game and you could get any 1 item in the snack shop. My friends and I would always trade ours for baseball cards and get excited any time we pulled a Yankee. I had a small metal tin I would keep the cards in. We used to love sticking around to watch other games too because if you brought back a foul ball you'd get a ticket for that too. End of the day you could end up with 3 or 4 packs of cards if you were lucky. Wish they would bring something like that back for kids today.
Looked up where the ball field was, it's condos now.
I also remember my parents would always let me sister and I get a pack of some kind of cards after getting ice cream (https://www.mycurryfreeze.com/ ) Curry Freeze moved a few doors down from where it was but it's still there.
When I really got into collecting though was 1986. My grandmother took my cousin and I to a candy wholesaler and was able to get complete boxes of cards. She bought one for me and one for my counsin and we spend the entire rest of the day sorting and trading. That was the year my dad started taking me to card shows too and was the first year I actually completed the entire set.

I bought my first baseball cards at the Eufaula Discount Center, Eufaula OK in 1973. It seems a large piece of the building collapsed into the street last week. Tried to post the photo but do not seem to be doing it right.

Well was not a store, and I am sure it is not around any more , 1964 Salina Kansas , would buy my topps cards from the ice cream man that drove around in summer , in 1965 that is the year that I remember exactly the day I opened up a pack from the ice cream man and there it was a Yankees Roger Maris card , I remember everything when that happened where I was standing in the yard , everything, my most prized card still to this day for that fact not the most valuable , but in those days that did not matter and pretty much to this day still holds true , in 1969 buying a box of topps cards for 5.00 dollars at the airport on Guam , would go there once a week and by a box Anderson Air Force base , lots of memories. Still collect to this day
