I recently got back into collecting cards. After about 25 years of absence. I've been at it for about four months. Mostly foccused on Blue Jays and the newer cards which are so much more interesting, and complicated to the base cards I traded with buddies when I was a kid. Early baseball cards have intrigued me ever since Wayne Gretzky and Bruce McNall (crook) bought a Honus Wagner for a half million bucks in the early 90s. Today my first Tobacco arrived in the mail. Although worth considerably less than Honus, Peaches Graham of the Boston Rustlers seemed like an interesting place to start. He last appeared in an MLB game 99 years ago this Sunday.
Anyone else into collecting obscure tobacco cards? I’m thinking of building a little collection of some cheapies.

Oh, there are plenty of tobacco collectors on here. V3, cynicalbuddha (who just did a massive overhaul of the T205 and T206 listings) and T206 (yup, that's the name) to name a few. Thre are more though, plenty more.
I remember my first tobacco, Sweet Caporal World War 1 and was overjoyed when I got them. One day I'll continue to work that set.

Once you go vintage prewar there is no turning back. It is very addictive.
T206, T205, 1909-1911 coupon, 1887-1889 old judge, and Ramly that comes to my mind with tobacco cards
then you have 1954 red man

As much as I love about the baseball tobacco cards, I'm drawn more to the non sports tobacco cards. Mainly price, but looking at some of them is so interesting because you are looking at things from their perspective. Some are what I guess you could call historical, things that you just don't see anymore. I need to log in some I got recently.
