Been thinking about starting a YoutTube channel (Yes, I can hear the yawns already) BUT I'm curious about what hardware recording setup everyone uses? Arms, mounts, mic, phone, lights, etc.? Anyone not using a phone but using a GoPro?

I use a JVC video camera (having a tripod will make your content more watchable). My Bescor LED light panels don't get hot and use very little energy. Also, the good old Sony ECM lav mics work well for my application.

Be careful where you record audio, as a large room can 'lose' your voice / a space too condensed will make it sound like you're broadcasting from a well.

What type of videos are you thinking about producing? Let us know when you're up and running - best of luck!

I just use my phone on the kitchen table with a cheap tripod. The lighting sucks, the audio sucks, but it is fun. LOL.

iPhone 8 with a gooseneck mount clampted onto a folding table I bought from Walmart.  The mat I'm using is from Inked Gaming.

Tripod with my iPhone and a light from my tripod. Don't be fancy if you are uncomfortable  with it. They say it takes 100 videos to get in a groove. 

I use an iPhone 7 Plus and a Jobe stand along with a vintage desk lamp to provide addicauate lighting.  Be sure to postion your lighting so it doesn't create a glare or shadows (Back lit) on the cards.  I try to shoot continuous so I can avoid editing...I will shoot the same video several times if its a reveal video of card show finds or something I picked up just to avoid editing...most of the time I can shoot on the fly and get it in one take.  (Obviously that might be difficult to start over if your shooting live or opening packs/breaking boxes.) My YouTube name is BatterUpICT if you want to see how I do it, but everything I mentioned above really doesnt show up on camera.
