If anyone has good experience shipping cards in this type of quantity and would be willing to give me some tips, I'd appreciate it. You can reply here or msg me directly. Cheers.

I have shipped around 300-400 which should be similar.

I put them into 5x 660 card boxes.  Wrapped each in small bubble wrap and taped the bubble wrap aroudn each.   Placed in a larger box with packing peanuts.   Didn't have any issues.   Box can get pretty heavy with that many cards which is why I used packing peanuts for filler all around the boxes. 

This was for commons and what I'd consider generally low value cards.   If you're shipping medium value it would probably not be difficult to sleeve/top load that many cards and double box them as well.

USPS Flat rate padded envelope is usually  the cheapest and can be safe if you use common sense when packing

I was requested to ship UPS ground, which is no problem - just trying to figure packaging out. A few higher value cards included.

I've been able to squeeze a pair of ~300-400ct boxes into a padded flat rate envelope, and that's always worked out fine for me. The trick is to stand the boxes up next to each other and then pull the envelope down over them. I believe you pay around $8 or $8.50 for that, or at least that's what I get charged printing the label through Paypal.

I have used the flat rate padded envelope many times as well without issue.

I would also add that local po usually do not carry this size, it needs to be ordered online.

Since you were asked to ship UPS Ground, some advice:

UPS will rate based on weight or size (if it's bigger than what they think the weight should be for that size box).

You should not use a padded/bubble mailer for UPS Ground. It will get destroyed.

Expect the box to be drop-kicked atr some poiint along it's transit. Pack the stuff so it CANNOT move inside.

Double boxing would be HIGHLY recommended.

Disclaimer - I worked for UPS for 18 years (IT dept, 1998-2016). But I shipped enough and received enough. I could NEVER save a box of mailer that I got when it was shipped via UPS. Don't even think to mark fragile on the box. Extra incentive for them to kick it around.

As far as loss or damage? I don't think there really is any advantage of one over the other. I still tend to use USPS for most packages. (Once you hit the 15 pound weight, then you might see the cost benefits of shipping UPS, but under 10 lbs, USPS seems to be the way to go.)
