Attended a local card show in Winchester, VA today. Came home with about 400 new (to me) cards, half baseball, half Star Wars, for less than I spent last week on Allen/Ginter and Gypsy Queen boxes (which had very little Orioles luck for me).. Had a great time just wandering the aisles and sifting through the common boxes. The show was put on by tidewatercardsandcollectibles.com. Looking forward to their next show in the area. Anyone been to any small local shows lately?

Where in Winchester? How did you find out about the show? I'm about 1 hour from there, west. Please inform me of any upcoming shows. I used to set up in Hagerstown, Md. at the Ruitan Club, not that far away. Mark

An hour west? Are you in West Virginia?

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

I live in Keyser, Wv. where John Kruk grew up and lived most of his life. I grew up in Western, Md. (about 20 minutes away from Keyser) and went to High School in Lonaconing, Md, where Lefty Grove grew up and lived most of his life. All of my Favorites are players that grew up & played baseball in my area.

There are several Card Shows here on the Space & Treasure Coast of Florida. Been recently several times to the one in Sebastian (American Legion Hall) and also to the one in Cocoa-Rockledge, at The Local Garden Club. Both are well attended and great deals available, especially on vintage cards, with at least one or two great finds!

Tscastle thanks for the info. It sucks it is Oct.2, The Band "Kix" is playing at the Rocky Gap Casino that very same day. The lead singer of Kix (Steve Whiteman) grew up 10 minutes from Keyser in Piedmont, Wv. and the Band is extremely popular in Maryland. I've been a fan of the band since I first saw them 40 years ago and will go there if it is not cancelled.

They have one Oct 24 in Charles Town, WV, and Nov 6 back in Winchester. Kix is sure to be an amazing show.

I've heard of Tidewater since they have done a few shows in NC this year too. But I haven't been to one of their shows yet. I'm hoping to go to some shows next year for either Tidewater or Inside Pitch Promotions.
