I wouldn't pay that much for that set. It's the worst looking NBA set ever. It's like Panini purposely made them look like the early Finest cards that have turned green.

Kind of similar to Bowman Platinum for baseball, heavily overpriced retail product made to seem high end and is generally a product collector's don't favor.

This is Panini blatantly saying that who cares what the card looks like or how much each card costs, just buy it for the hits. $85 CDN lottery tickets pretty much.

Bowman Platinum isn't expensive though.

The answer to your question is no, people are not buying this.  They're sitting on shelves everywhere around me, and have been in stock online at every retailer for weeks.
