Literally laughing out loud at the Geico ad concept! 

Snyder, chasing rainbows has become a big deal in the hobby. I love parallels but when there are 4 or 5 cards numbered to 5 copies or less it is not going to happen. 

I try to complete a "master" (non-SP) Topps Opening Day set every year. That means the base + basic inserts. This year I was missing 1 card after ripping two boxes. Its fun and easy to do and fulfills my low set collecting needs. 

Hey bclough69, we've had an open transaction for going on 6 weeks now, and you won't respond to my messages....you ever going to mail the cards?

Its kind of like people who do puzzles. They arent doing them because they want artwork for the walls. They do them cuz they like to then in a day they put them back. Do it if it makes you happy dont if it dont! 

Also, you reminded me my wife is going to flip out again if I dont get the boxes out of the kitchen cabinets, my thought was she cant reach the shelves on the top and they are empty, she didnt agree

I'd say go with what you really came back to collect. While it may be fun getting cards you dont really care about at the end of the day whats really the point of having all the extras that come from set building if you dont really get any joy from having them. Especially with the 80/s90s stuff being as plentiful as it is the urge to try and collect em all is a tough one to resist. Im a recovering base hoarder myself having within the last 5 or so years gone from hoarding everything to hoarding a very hyperspecific/nospecific set of criteria and i feel much better and have a much more manageable collection than i used to.
