Tribal chief versus Punk? Which version of Roman? The heel now with the Uso brothers or babyface? Heel now he will win most likely with the Usos interference. Baby face maybe Punk will win...barely. Now I haven't seen anybody mention a guy who I've always liked. Hard worker, great mat skills, decent on the mic. Bryan Danielson who is in aew. No doubt about it, MJF is the real deal. So if he goes to wwe, put him against KO or Orton. Should be good.

As for the question in the OP, Roman over Punk always. As for all-time: The Undertaker. Toughest wrestler ever is Matt Hardy IMO. Sure, he has lost a lot of matches over the years, but it takes a real beating to get him down for the count. That's all I need to say here.

This is basically how it goes. Now if we talked MMA, that is a different story because these people aren't holding back and aren't told what to do. (That we know of.) Otherwise, Roman wins. Vince and the writers are going to keep pushing him, until Cody Rhodes takes his 2nd title.

Currently Roman is easily the better wrestler. He's younger, bigger, stronger, faster, and betting than Punk in every aspect except mic skills, which almost nobody can touch Punk at. If it was prime Punk vs prime Reigns it might be a different story. It should be noted that Punk is actually one of my favorite wrestlers and I still said what I said. Also on the topic of Bray Wyatt. He is (or I guess was) my absolute favorite current wrestler and he was undoubtedly a top tier guy. He was so over with the fan base that even after he was released from WWE they continued to sell his merch through there store and his sales stayed in the #1 spot for a considerable amount of time without him even appearing in or on WWE in any way. If he decides he still wants to wrestle he could go to any company and still be a top tier guy.

To the original question - Roman hands down. Punk is a solid wrestler and entertaining, but Roman is doing some of his best work in the ring and on the mic right now. THIS Roman is the one that there were glimpses of when The Shield debuted as heels. I think his run as a babyface was needed for his growth and as much as it dragged on too long, helped get Roman (the wrestler and more importantly, the character) to where he is today.
A bit of a shame if rumors are true that his new contract will see him working less dates and getting paid more, but obviously, who wouldn't make that choice? Might just mean plenty less house shows, so may not even notice for TV viewers, but time will tell.

Best wrestler is a loaded question.
Are you talking skill n the ring, ability on the mic, other areas as well.
Current IMO in AEW
1. Kenny Omega
2. Young Bucks
3. MJF
4. Chris Jericho
5. Cowboy Shit
WWE I have a hard time saying Roman...I do not think it is.
NXT is garbage right now as a whole.
current DIVAS IMO no order
Bianca Belair
Britt Baker
Alexa Bliss
jade cargill
Old school you can not go wrong with any of these names love/hate:
(Taking longgevity in the ring, good on mic, polarizing love/hate)
Ric Flair
Bret Hart
The Rock
Undertaker
Stone Cold
Andre the Giant
Rey Mysterio Jr
John Cena
HHH
Sting
HBK
Hulk Hogan
Macho Man
Chris Jericho

No doubt about it. I just want to see CM Punk vs Roman Reigns. Thats a dream match for us wrestling fans. In Hockey we are going to see the Avs vs Tampa. We get to see the matchups we want but in pro wrestling we can only speculate. They also have Paul Heyman in common.
