There are 45 cards per set. Example 45 cards for the Hitters, 45 cards for sluggers and 45 cards for pitchers. I noticed some of the cards have red and some green borders on the front of the card. Some have a white back ground on the back of the card and some have a tan background on the back of the card. You can see this if you look on ebay. Does anyone know if any of this distinguishes the card in some way. Like the cards with a tan back ground on the back of the card come from some special situation and the white back ground comes from another. Or is this just a parallel card. The white background and tan back ground on the back of the cards is the only difference between two cards that are otherwise identical. Just trying to figure out the TCMA puzzle.

The white and tan backs are variations. The red and green borders are not - some cards have red borders (the first 13, 15, and 17 cards in the Hitters, Pitchers, and Sluggers sets, respectively) and the rest have green borders. Also, cards with an MLB logo on the back were released in 1987. There are also perforated and cut versions.
