So does anyone else get angry over EBay listings and sellers that are obvious trash? Its hard to be a seller and the reason is the opinion customers have of sellers that do not apply to all sellers! I may ramble, Sorry. I see people with 1500 cards listed and every one of them is "RARE" and "MINT" and 20 times more expensive than I would list the 38 that I own should I decide to breakout my Rare Cards and I think what a fool..... Then I see that there are 76 sold and I feel as if I am the fool. I dont know why I cant stop yelling at my poor laptop who did nothing wrong.
Last night I was trying to come up with a price so I was looking around and I saw a Jalen Hurts No Helmet 2021 Variation listed for like $28 and I said holy hell, I have like 25 of all of those so I am going to switch up my priority list. It was graded by the newest hottest trend called "Buy Slabs and YOU too can be a grading company" Oddly enough, EVERY single card was a 10! I absolutely was losing it so I hit the little contact seller button and I left the following message.... " I hate to ruin the reputation of your made up grading company but Jalen Hurts Rookie year was 2020"
So yeah , Do I have a Problem?

relax collecting should be an enjoyable hobby, if you're in it to make money then you're doing it wrong

If you only have graded cards, you aren't collecting, you are investing or conning yourself/others....
Cleared my head of the thought that autos were a financial boon and gave most to my nieces kid....
Collecting should be more like hoarding, trading keeps it just on the edge of that....

I ask myself, "Are those sellers and their listings important enough to ruin my mood?".

Doesn't matter much, I just review other listings for the card I'm looking for and normally go with the
best price and shipping cost....

Everybody needs to make a buck. Some people do it through hard work. Others do it by stealing and scamming others. eBay is full of both of these types. You just have to be careful who you deal with. Personally when I run across an obvious scammer, I report them. Usually ebay shuts them down. I've reported a few that eBayer either didn't take the time to look into or they didn't understand what was going on. I've reported dozens over the years and will continue to do so. As an honest eBay seller I believe it is my duty and right.

This is it, pretty much. I have felt the same way about social media, especially during the pandemic, where I was reading too much of what a couple of friends and/or relatives were writing that riled me up. Yes, there are dirtbags out there who are probably fleecing some people who just don't know any better. There are also probably some nefarious things going on that might be bumping up those sold numbers artificially, but that's Ebay's problem. Report things if you want to, but again, Ebay will do whatever they want to do.
You should just consider focusing on your own thing if you can. If an activity is causing your more stress and rage than it's worth, try stepping away for a bit. The back-and-forth isn't worth it and, as much as one may try to contain it within oneself, your mood may affect others around you. I found that that was happening with me with the social media so I figured it wasn't worth the drama just to cause others around me to get swept up with it as well. I'm definitely a more outwardly happier guy because I turned a lot of that other stuff off.

You are definitely not alone. I too am a seller on eBay and constantly go through similar scenarios like you described. I absolutely can’t stand it when people try to make their cards seem more valuable or more rare than they are either knowingly or unknowingly because they are lazy and didn’t do the research, I’m not sure which is worse. But the thing the bothers me more than anything else I see is the extremely high amount of people selling cards that add SP to everything that isn’t a base card. Every insert, every parallel, every serial numbered card they have or have seen is a SP. I wish so badly there was a way to flag listings with incorrect or inaccurate information

Don't forget eBay exists to sell as much product as possible without descriptions being obviously deceptive or fraudulent. Unscrupulous sellers are a fact of life I'm afraid. Genuine collectors and buyers see through this immediately and steer well clear. Cards are only worth as much as people are willing to pay for them so you can set your price wherever you feel is right. Nothing worth getting yourself stressed over.
