Anyone else having loooooooooooooooooooong waits between pages on this site the last few days. I mean it's sort of normal around here but lately it's extra slow.

YES. I sponsored a couple pages months ago thinking that would help with speed (ads), but that has not been the case at all, so won't be renewing.
Lots of summer traffic, I guess?

The last few days have seemed worse than usual. I have no idea about how this site is hosted or to what extent it is load balanced or anything, but as a resident of the good old USA it has seemed sluggish here as well. I still appreciate it as a resource though.

How's this for a possible theory ...... I noticed that my t-shirt's return adress was LA which I presume is Louisiana. With the flooding down there this past week (and if that is where homebase is for the TCDB) that could be causing greif with all sorts of things like power, telephone, etc. Just a guess. But yes it has been absolutely brutal the past few days. =(

Good point. Both my t-shirts came out of Louisiana from several years apart, and I know the reset is as 1AM Eastern Standard Time, which would fit with being midnight in LA.
Hope Admin and any other members are OK with that flooding they are dealing with again. (and everybody who's not members too, I hate natural disasters)
(Edit to add: Most of the speed seems to have come back as of 3:30 AM EST 8/17. It could also be from an update Admin was doing behind the scenes, just speculating on that part.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards. Cardboard History My COMC New Collection Website: Cardboard History Gallery (Still under construction) Tips on how to make your scans look like the card does in hand (No more washed out, fuzzy scans!):

It appears the site has been having memory issues the past few days. A fix was applied this morning. We're going to keep monitoring the situation. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I have four or five different sites open, no problem. As soon as I would open TCDB, after a couple minutes everything seemed to be put into a strangle hold. Thought it was my PC

It's getting to the point where it is unusable for me. I have even found instances of cards I have added to my collection not registering because the site froze up. I also do a lot of adding teams, checklists, etc and find myself stuck waiting for the site to respond. It would be one thing if it was occassional but this has been happening ever since I joined this site a few years ago. This site is a great resource when it actually works but other times its really not worth my time.

I think its a combination of individuals computers (memory / processor speed), regional area, whether or not you are on free or contributed to no Ads, and like Admin mentioned yesterday that they had a memory issue which they had worked on.
Prior to Admin making that post, it was sluggish for me, but it has improved a lot. Maybe i'll hit a speed bump here or there, but overall, no complaints and I'm in sunny FL. On the individuals end, may want to try cleaning up disk space, freeing up some memory and most cable companies have a link on thier websites that you can check your internet speed/ connectiivety- you can try that as well. I know when I'm home, although i have individual cable to my place, the main line is shared with 3 other units, so that at times can cause a blurp in the connectivity, whereas other times its very quick. just a thought. and like Dev mentioned, i as well, always have about 8 different tabs open tied into together on 2 computer screens
