I've only done this a few of times. Once it was because the address was super close to where I lived in Michigan. The second I was sure was someone who probably has a checkmark next to their name on Twitter...ended up not being that person...LOL! (insert Nerd emoji!)
I did do this on an eBay transaction based on the name and the location in New York to where I sent an item. I was like, no way...this can't be this person..??? Based on the address and who owned the building...yup...it was her. The item I sold was a set of Magic Cubes (camera flash cubes)...the ones that go on the 70's era camera...I had an unopened pack of them. I kept it professional and never messaged her.
