I think what I might do is use the drop down menu to add all cards into the collection, then in the collection summary menu, use the delete multiples.  Then all you need to do is quickly single click on the cards you don't have.  Then the add missing cards to wantlist.

I actually do the opposite of what the op does. I only add the cards I’m missing to my want list if the set is nearly complete. Once the set is done I can add all to the collection if I choose to.
