This is correct, I built the base patch set when it was released (gorgeous cards, wish I still had them) and the Japanese team in particular was SPd and do not exist for the higher numbered parallels. It’s been too long to remember exact specifics but it feels true that several of the parallels were not produced for that team for sure. Details must be listed online somewhere, might be able to help search later haven’t found specific reference but I can unequivocally say that there were never any Blues for Team Japan

I cannot speak to this specific set, per se, but in my experience, I have yet to see a set in any sport where Topps produces a parallel that has a higher SN than the base. So in this case, I wouldn't expect any Blue Refractor SN50 cards to exist for any player that has a base card with a SN less than 50.

Hello everyone! I joined some months ago, and immediately started loading scans of what I have that could contribute to this beautiful database, which I firmly believe offers a tremendous service to all the collectors out there.
Now, be informed that I'm the Italian completist, which means, on top of trying to collect as many cards as I can, that I am born and living across the ocean, which makes everything extrememly difficult and pricey.
Something I spent a lot of time on, is adding pictures of cards from the 2013 Tribute WBC Patches set, which has been one of my main chases since I began collecting in 2008.
You can find the progress of my collection here
But let me get straight to the point for this first post of mine on the forum.
I'm getting to a point with this set where I mostly need the more limited variants of cards, obviously almost all of the purples 1/1, and plenty of the blacks /5 and reds /10. But something that appears even harder than finding these parallels, is finding cards of Asian players, the set came with patches of players from Japan, South Korea, and Taipei, which for some reason have been the most elusive in my now 10 years long hunt.
So my question for you is: have you ever came across any of the following cards:
- Green parallel patch card for any of the Japanese players. I have never seen one, not even on the internet;
- Any card from Atsunori Inaba that is not the base, numbered to 43, version;
- Any card from Dae Ho Lee that is not the base, numbered to 67, version;
- Any card from Eddie Rosario that is not the base, numbered to 95, version;
And the question that is even more mind-boggling for me, does anyone of you have official evidence that the blue refractor cards, numbered to 50, were not produced for the Japanese players, who have the base card already numbered to a lower print run (43) than the blue?
thanks a lot in advance to anyone who will read, reply or contribute to this endless quest!
