It's time to bring out a couple points (and review one).
First the review: Please take the time to be descriptive and precise in your inaccuracy reporting. This is the actual content of a report we received earlier this week:
numbered out of /35 patch level 2
Again, not calling out who wrote this (as I actually don't know who, and it doesn't matter who), but this is confusing as the set is not he Level 2 patch set or anything. No one apparently has even touched it, and no one has even added a comment. Please, be more precise. Please tell us what should be done. "Please add SN35 to Note".
New stuff:
Deleting Cards from Checklists: Please submit a request on each card that needs to be deleted. The "IR Tools" are set up by Admin in such a way, that depending on what "level" (card, set, overview) the submitter makes their request, various tools display (not all requests are created equal!). So if the card deletion request comes in at the set level, the tools to delete a card are not present - and a new request has to be made by the resolver to carry out the original request. This is the same when requesting several cards be deleted from a set. You may think it's saving us all time by entering "Please delete cards 3, 7, 18, 67, and 344, as they do not exist", when in reality, now whoever tries to resolve this has to open individual requests for the 5 cards, and do the appropriate actions in the tools.
Removal of Faulty Images: Same as Card Deletion. We need one request per card, done on that card's page. If you don't do that, someone else does.
Moving Images to Correct Cards: Again, same as the others, one request per card and if you want to REALLY help us expedite the process, give the link of the destination card in the request. That helps us start the process in seconds. Most times we can get an image moved within an hour when all goes well (when we have multiple Level 8s looking in there at the same time).
Generally speaking, the requests coming in have been really, really well-written and helpful. There are still some overly complicated ones that need attention that will take a while to resolve. Most of the time, I, personally, have limited time to handle these things (5 minutes here and there, usually). Taking on a monster request is not usually something I can do, and not something I think most prefer to do. The smaller the task is in each request, the more likely you are to see progress being made. Thankfully, I had some more continuous time the past couple days so I was able to work on the removal of 22-25 cards per set - in 16 sets - that was written into only one report. (I started it yesterday morning and I finished it this morning!) Had the member who submitted this request understood the process (as I explained above), there could have been several people working on the various requests simultaneously.
Please keep these items in mind as you write your error reports. The less time we have to spend attempting to figure out what is meant, the more we can resolve. Thanks!
