Two slight corrections to Bruno's post:
1 - Checklists are 5 points, not 10.
2 - Card front images are always worth 1 point. Back images are only worth 2 points when a front image is already present, otherwise back images are 1 point when there is no front image.
There are also other image uploads (packaging, Ad/Sell Sheets, etc.) and adding of other information (external links for sets or people) that can earn you points.
All points really get you is more ability to make edits to the site. So if you're interested in helping out (especially in the areas where things aren't correct or need additions), you'll pretty much need to be at that highest level (level 8), which is the 25,000-point level Bruno was referring to.
