One other question just for clarification....I understand they aren't linked in the title of the card, but would they be tagged (if they have a PID)....batboy of course would not since he doesn't have a PID

No.
Why make exceptions for people who ddn't currently have PIDs? Do or don't. In this case, Admin has stated that people that are not the focus of the card do not get linked on the card. If their picture is incorrectly used on someone else's card, they aren't the focus of the card, they don't get linked.

Dan, that bat boy actually does have his own card, several of them, and his own PID. His name is Leonard Garcia and he was a trainer for the Salt Lake City Gulls in the late 70's and early 80's. Just wanted to mention that b/c I read a small snipet about him and that Rodriguez card in the September 1991 issue of Beckett earlier this week. So I knew exactly what card you were talking about when you mentioned it.

A better example: 1985 Topps Gary (Lynn) Pettis. Lynn doesn't have a PID

I wasn't really making a point about the topic at hand here. Just pointing out a bit of trivia that I'm sure many people don't know, that I happened to come across.

Please, one and all, stop logging into tradingcarddb.com
Clearly not Roger Staubach. Prior to the card being printed Staubach only played in one game against the Falcons, 12 October 1969. And Humphrey didn't play in that game. Whereas Craig Morton played Atlanta and Humphrey on 11 October 1970.

Just to give a different twist on this scenario over at Beckett this card shows up under Roger Staubach because you can clearly see that Staubach is in the photo being tackled by Humphrey. Its nice for a nuerotic completionist to be able to find every card with your players image on it but I could also see this going too far trying to add tags for every player in a huddle or pile-up.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

I love using this card as our example:
Clearly, Eric Davis is on this card. When Eric Davis was a hot commodity, I collected him. This card was in my Eric Davis collection. Admin has specifically stated that Eric Davis is NOT to be tagged/linked (or whatever nomenclature you wish to use) on this card, despite the clear appearance on the card. It's a Tony Perez card, and the only name associated with the card should be Tony Perez. I could also drag up several examples in hockey cards of players making cameos (including several that are in my player collections), but as I stated, Admin has clearly stated NO.
