Any interest in a feature that would set cards to "In-Proposal" (and off tradelist) when a card is in a proposal that you make? Currently cards remain on my tradelist when I put them in proposal. I'm very interested in getting cards off my tradelist when they are in proposals, and then if the proposal is declined put back on the tradelist. For example, I currently have 5 proposals waiting for reply. I often find myself waiting a while for responses on proposals and sometimes never get any response and I'm ultimately forced to withdraw. These outstanding proposals make it very difficult to conduct trades in the meantime and can causes mistakes because I end up offering the same card to two people despite efforts not to.

I like this idea. Like a temporary limbo for cards that might not be available right now as they part of a proposed trade. When the trade is done they are gone, but if it falls through they go back.
Good stuff.

One thing I’ve done to eliminate a lot of these kinds of mistakes is I always pull all the cards before I propose or accept a trade. That way if a card is wanted in multiple places it’s easier to make adjustments before committing to a trade.

I like the idea. I also try to follow Lugnut's method. What infuriates me is to pull cards 1st for proposed or trades offers, and the other trader says, sorry, I don't need them anymore or something like that. I don't know about you but I have "alot" of cards to sort thru, this takes time.

I know of some members who have multiple copies of a card but only list one on their trade list. This would be detrimental to their way of trading. This would force them to add all their copies of cards to their trade list.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

I would not have any interest in another status of trading inventory

I am with Mark on this one. Though I do not list multiples of what I have to trade, I look at it as the first responder who confirms a trade will get the card (or the best card) if I only have one. When I do have multiples, I add a second "For Trade" card when I pull the first one. Of course, you have to be organized to do this with all of your traders sorted and together.
This has worked well for me and I have not had any issues with someone asking for a card that was already in a proposal waiting for confirmation of acceptance or decline.

Hey, Whatever the site decides is fine with me. Anything that makes things easier is also fine with me. Having ALL my cards organized would be GREAT for me!

I would like to see if you only have one card and 2 people are wanting and they both send you trade offers the first one who agrees to the trade gets the card and the 2nd person the card drops off of the proposed trade. 1 card is not so bad but when your trading 25+ cards in one trade the card could and does get overlooked that was traded. This will help with oops I traded that card and explanation on why you traded it.
This scenario happened to me where I had 3 trades going on with the 1985 Topps and one trader agreed then the other trader agrees to a trade and I didnt realize I had 5 cards that both of them were wanting. This threw off the other traders want list and had to go back in and relist them as wants. I felt and still feel terrible I did that to a fellow trader and did my best to correct the mistake and issue I have caused them

Instead of "dropping off", it should get highlighted, maybe in red, to indicate it is no longer available. If it is removed from the trade that would cause problems. It would change the "balance" or "fairness" of the original trade proposal, possibly unbeknownst to either member involved.
