Curious what purpose a friend request serves on TCDB? Do friends have additional priviledges with each other somehow? Or maybe they do nothing?

You can set your Profile where friends can always see your shipping address.  Other than that, I'm not sure if there are any other benefits.

There is another benefit b/c you always have a quick-connect link with those you have befriended. You can quickly contact them from your Profile page if you pull something you know they'll like or you acquire something that can't be listed on this site (non-card items). It saves you time of doing any searches for that person's threads/posts and/or making lots of extra clicks to find them in the Member Directory.

It makes it much easier to find someone's wantlist and tradelist. 

I don't say much on here because I am a Rookie but friending someone on here is lot easier to make trades with. Like the two veterans above have said better connection to do trades and plus you can keep notes on people to what they trade and want in cards.  Seriously the amount of searching for people on here that I am looking for cards from is crazy.  Friend people much easier :)! 

How/where do I keep notes on someone? That could be cool!

I'm pretty sure you just have to write them down with good old pen & paper.

I have an Excel chart where I keep important addresses and what people are looking for. 

I have a note book that I have for this. Unfortunately the site doesn’t have somewhere to do it. If it did that would be cool.
