Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

From the FAQ:
https://www.tcdb.com/FAQ.cfm?ITEM=Names#6
How do I link multiple names to a single card?
Names should only be linked to a card if they are the focal point or subject of the card. Background players or characters should never be linked.
It goes on further to clarify other issues, but that's the very first sentence about this. Not singling you out on this one, but so many of these questions that get asked regarding these database-specific things are already handled in the FAQs. Everyone should really take the time to read through them. A lot of great information there.

No on puzzle pieces or sticker backs where the back isn't consistent with the front.
Here's an example of a card where multiple players can be named because the design is for both:

I think if it shows another player on the back (Not in the background) that card should be linked that other player.
For example I collect Red Sox cards only. The 1968 Topps all star cards have puzzle pieces on the back. The American League has one player and the National League has another.
Thats my two cents, I welcome yours.

I disagree Godzilla. For example, on this Ryan/Griffey Jr sticker, I don't think Bo Jackson should be linked because he isn't the focal point of the sticker.

Actually, for these sticker sets, he is a focal point of the sticker. You'll notice the VAR comment about Bo on there. For these sticker sets the various backs have been added as VARS, whe nthe fronts are the same. Therfore Bo is a focal point.
