Seriously....Why? Because an L8 didn't like the topic as usual. It was a perfectly appropriate post, I did use TCDB in my post, probably shouldn't have. I was trying to collect data from our members. ~bob~

Only Admin can attempt to retreive forum threads. Deleting forum threads is not a Level 8 permission.

And L8s can't, that's strange.
I wonder Who ADMIN is? But I think I know, my lips  are sealed.

All I know is if you mix the letters in "admin" around, you get "I'm Dan".

Level 8's seriously can't. There are a select few who have forum permissions, and I believe those are granted on a case by case basis by Admin himself. I know for a fact that a) I'm a Level 8, and I can't even change solved Mystery Forum posts from red to green, and b) you can view what each permissions level allows you to do. Deleting or altering forum posts is nowhere on that list.
Dan (vrooomed) is not Admin. As always, the best way to get an answer to something like this is to message Admin himself. Remember to be patient. I asked a question a week ago and still haven't gotten a response.
The short answer to the original question: no, there is no way for a member to retrieve a deleted post. You can search for a thread that got buried but I believe I know which thread you're referring to Bob. You'll need to ask Admin on that one.

I am not Admin. I wish I had all the tools Admin had available. Would make a lot of things around here real easy!
And, no, I think once a post has been removed, it's gone forever.
