Hi! So I've been a member for a while, but I've only just bought a scanner and started submitting cards I have that didn't have images (sorry if they aren't perfect, I have a severe visual imparement and I'm trying my best lol). Anyway, I've noticed quite a few cards I have that either aren't listed as subsets, or aren't listed in checklists. I want to be able to show the admins some of these images so they can verify that I'm not mistaking what I have for something that actually is listed. Case in point, I realized today that I have to cards from teh 2004/05 ITG Heroes and Prospects hockey set that aren't listed as a subset - both are stamped '05/10 Spring Expo' in silver, but are otherwise indistinguishable from the regular version of that same card. I know that there are ITG Spring Expo parallels for other years, but I can't confirm through ebay or elsewhere that there even are any other of these spring expo's other than the two I have. How do I proceed so that at least these two can be added to the database? And is there a way to add an image to a post liek this, or to a message to admins? I can't figure that out. Thanks for any advice!

Do you mean "inserts"? Subsets are cards within the base set.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

I'm not sure, I don't THINK so, but you're right, subset isn't the right term - for the other years, these particular spring exp cards are listed as a parallel set, as they are really just the base cards but stamped, like the various Topps buy back sets in recent years, etc. But despite the fact that I have these two 04-05 cards in hand and can compre them to their 'regular' base versions, I can't find any confirmation elsewhere that this particular parallel set even exists. On the other hand, despite the fact that the 05-06 silver and gold parallels are listed, I've never seen one in the wild or online, and I've been looking for three years now lol.

1. If you create a topic in the "Card Identification (Mystery) Forum", there's a spot to upload images for us to see.
2. Whenever you can't locate a card somewhere on the site, use the Filters option to narrow a search by card number, company, etc. Just go to that player's page on here then click "Filters". That helps a lot when searching for something on here.

Be careful on the Spring and Fall Expo cards - ITG usually released full sets, but sometimes they only released like the first 100 (or 150) cards of a set like that. So please do the proper research before adding these - one of the reasons probably why they are not yet listed.

BigEd76 - Ah, you are right, and I had no idea about the Solid Gold version, either!
Vrooomed - Yes, now that I see what BigEd76 pointed out, and a quick search with this new info, it looks like Beckett's only has the gold set as 20 cards, probably the first 20 like you suggest, but that needs looking into. I do know that the two cards I have are #6 and #112, so perhaps that's a full set parallel? But again, and as you say, that bears a lot more research. Very curious, though. Thank you very much, gentlemen!

Dan, how are those situations usually handled on here? Is it best to create an empty parallel set and add cards as needed?

No, research and figure it out, then we'll get the checklist right the first time.
