May I ask a question about the add bu number functionality.
What happens if you enter the number of a card already in your collection? Does it simply ignore it, throw an error, increment your quantity of that card by 1 or other ?
Thanks

It will add whatever amount you specify during the review step.

I am right in the middle of uploading my FB collection (about 30k so far) and I just used add by card number and add multiple for the first time after reading this post. Thanks Vroomed!!!
I was just in such a groove with the standard Add/Update tools I didn't bother exploring these features.
What is great is that each is really useful in its own right. If I have 3 cards out of a 400 card set, then add by card number is ideal, but if it's a set where I have 2 or 3 copies of each card, there's a tool for that too.
Im just about to get into my 1990-93 FB , so these will be huge time savers. Still like the checkboxes, though...don't want that to go away. That's most useful when you've got collection cards and trade cards together in one place.

Ever since the add quantity (textbox) became a thing I have had days where I have added 7-10k cards. But that was after getting the cards organized. Dan, was that full days or only a few hours a night? My problem is burnout sets in after getting a few thousand cards in a night

Look up player. Use filter.then add card number. Search. Update. Then use back arrow to the filter page. Add new card number, search, update. Use back arrow to the filter. Continue.. when finished with that players cards. Go back to search name, find new player , click filter and start all over.

Fortunate here to be working from home mostly, and I was able to grab a stack and get them logged in between completing work tasks. I was also doing it in the evenings. And I was very motivated to get this done. 10 years on the site, and never logged the inventory. I had figured 60-80K were lurking. It was more than 90K. And I pulled most of a "junk wax" set I may or may not try to complete that is yet to be logged (1988 Donruss from packs, already have a factory set) as well as about 80-100 cards that weren't fit to trade. After the first couple days of getting thousands in, I knew it wouldn't be too long before it would all be done.

I guess I am just completely OCD about my card organization. Everything (traders and PC cards) is organized by year, brand/product, card number. Most of my traders are in boxes now (400-count to 5K count), but some are still in binders. But every box and binder has a label on it to tell me what's inside. I love the 2x1.5 inch Post-It Notes for labels on boxes. I just write down the year(s) included in the box, stick the Post-It on there and add a piece of "scotch" tape to make sure it stays there until I need to remove it for adding/removing info about the cards in it. Different sports are all in different locations as well.
All of my PC cards are in binders and each binder is labeled too. I collect several NASCAR drivers and 4 of them have more than one binder. So an example there is my Mark Martin collection with 3 albums (2 are 4" and 1 is 3"). Labels are: Mark Martin #1 - 1988-1998; Mark Martin #2 - 1999-2008; Mark Martin #3 - 2009-present + AU/RU. I have 240 duplicate cards of him and they are all in a box (since they are traders). The box has a label saying they are Martin dupes and how many total cards are in the box. I change that number every time I trade away cards from the box.
Stick and ball sports are a little different but similar. In baseball, the only team I collect is the Cardinals. But I specifically collect 16 players that played for the team. All STL cards that aren't of those 16 players just go together in albums in the same year/brand/card number method. So my 1st team album is years 1953-1983 (1953 is the oldest STL card acquired so far). The last STL album is 2015-present. As the years get moved to other albums with the collection increasing in size, I alter or replace the label on the album to still be accurate. Then my players are sorted by what fits in which albums. Ozzie Smith has his own 2.5 inch album, while Stan Musial and Yadier Molina currently share an album the same size. Those 2 used to be in a 4" album with 4 other STL players (Brock, Gibson, Edmonds, Rolen) until it got too full. Two players have their own 1.5 inch binder after the other big album with all the other players got too full to contain them anymore.
So my keys to organization is separation ;of PC/traders and separation of sports, but most importantly is labels. Post-It Notes and ink pens are pretty cheap and are a great way to know what I've done and how it may change as I add or remove cards from boxes and albums. Trades are quick and easy to pull with my system and I'll stick with it forever.

Really appreciate you taking the time on that, it may help others with similar collecting styles.
I thoroughly enjoyed that, if anyone else feels like sharing their organizational methods please chime in.
