Every morning I go through the Forums to see if there is any of particular interest and advice. Once in a while, there is one that is and I wish I could easily find it in the future when I am looking to make use of it. But these often get buried in the multiple pages of forums and the advanced search feature is hit and miss due to the forum title being vague.

I am thinking that if a member does have an interest in a forum thread that he knows he would want to refer back to in the future, it would be nice to have the ability to have that particular forum thread saved to his profile. An example of this showed up this morning, the one on how to search sellers in Sportslots. Needless to say, by tomorrow, this one will already be on page 2 or 3 and sinking fast. If I could "save" it to a Forum Saved list, I know I would be able to refer to it when I want to search Sportslots.

We have all seen members ask "How to..." and someone links a previous Forum in the answers as it was discussed months or years ago. A perfect example is the one where C2Cigars explains how to upload an image of one's personal card to his collection without replacing the one on TCDb.

If there is enough interest in this idea expressed here, I will suggest it as a new feature. And no, the Subscribe button does not save it for easy recall.

I subscribe to threads on topics I might want to refer to later, but only because it's the best available option.  It "works", at least to the extent that subscribed threads become readily retrievable using the 'forum subscriptions' link at the bottom of every page.

I find it annoying to be notified every time someone posts in the thread (probably only relevant if you're engaging in debates/arguments and feel compelled to have the last word on a topic, but that's not me).  Luckily, the forums are active enough that most threads fall down to page 2 fairly quickly, at which point the notifications tend to stop.

If you reply in a thread, you can go in your profile to forum posts and it will show that post,

you can then select and go to that one....

You could also created a Google Doc spreadsheet and store them in that truthfully too.. 

Except when you have 215 pages of forum postings.  I have suggested a Feature to be able to search our own forum posts.

I also suggested the capability to search the New Feature Tracker. Currently, there are 200 proposed new features. I think it's a #1 priority to be able to search the proposed New Features.  How many times have you seen a suggested feature in the forums, only to have someone say, "That's already suggested."

To Bruno's point.  I bookmark forums I want to refer back to.

I have put in a New Feature Request for being able to sort your postings by:  Ones you started and ones you replied to.   That would cut down a few pages to look through.

I have not seen it on the tracker yet.

Yes that is it!!!

I looked for it and did not find it.    I should have found it as I commented on it after it was posted.

There are times when one looks and looks and still cannot find it.  Then someone finds it and lets you know.   Then you feel like what is going on with my brain.

the ability to "star" it into your favorites. kinda.. Not sure if you could just bookmark it currently and it still show up when clicking on it?
