I like all these ideas so far, the only one I can think of right now is most commented Random Card of the Year. Which would be whatever card featured as the RCOTD got the most comments.

Royal Card Review is my blog if you feel like checking it out, thanks if you do!- royalcardreview.blogspot.com/ In the process of updating my collection so don't trust any of my lists right now.

I like the idea of highlighting contributions of the members, but several of the top several categories listed will only include the same members from year to year. Points/Scans/CL's will mostly just be the same few members for several years, basically everyone inside the Top-10 in Member Points already! I don't think entries in the Change Log should be part of this b/c it might mostly consist of people fixing their own mistakes.
"Rookie of the Year" and "New Feature of the Year" should involve a vote by the members. "Most Trades" and "Most Forum Postings" in a single year are pretty much tagged and should be part of the awards.
I like Billy Kingsley's idea of "Member of the Year" but that is something that definitely needs a vote. I also like ketchupman36's idea of "Biggest Trade" of the year. I really like Jupiter's idea of "RCOTD with the most comments" too! That would be interesting to see for each year that TCDB has has done it.

Great Idea for sure but as several have mentioned, alot of awards maybe ging to only a few members and sports, might have to break it down to catagories for some of these, the larger sports indie, then a group as misc sports, and non-sports. I would be a voulenteer seat-filler like you here about at the Oscars ........ LOL. =)

I thought of another possible one: Most scans posted in a day.
I know my personal record is somewhere around 300 cards in one day. But I don't know when or the actual number. Not sure there is an algorhythm that could figure that out or if somebody would have to physically count, if it's the latter than scratch that idea because even I would find that tedious at best, LOL
-------------------------------
VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards. Maybe too specific and subjective, but how about Favorite User List of the Year or Favorite Idea for a User List? Or, something related to User Lists. Maybe also User with the most cards picked for RCOTD.

What?? No American Ninja Warrior cards or Ninja Warrior cards yet?? Someone is really slacking!!

In order to stay in the Almighty Admin's favor and maintain His or Her sanity, I suggest that many of these clever and good ideas not be implemented for the past years, but only for 2017 forward.
Humbly offered,

Stats important enough to be recognized should be tracked in the Members Stats section of this site. This would allow people to track their own progress, as well as to set their own goals. Daily records are good for the guiness book of world records, but are not a true measure of contributions to this site. Annual and Career totals are both significant.
Do like the player stats on MLB.com. Determine what are all of the significant stats, and have a sortable member stats page on a spreadsheet-like format. If that's too complicated, then just add more category links under the current member stats page.
