Having some trouble identifying the manufacturer and date (probably late 1980s or early 1990s...Arantxa turned pro in 1985) of this swap card featuring Arantxa Sanchez-Vicario. I might have better luck if I could identify the soccer/football player on the reverse. But, that is not my area of knowledge. Can anybody help?
Thanks,
Nicole

Don't know who the soccer player is, but the Chinese writing says "Spanish Tennis Superstar Sanchez". This according to my wife who can speak and read Chinese.

Thank you for confirming that. My google translate app on my phone came back with "Spanish tennis star Sanchez." Before that, I figured it would translate to identifying Arantxa, but it is nice to confirm that the app worked for me this time.

Looking at it under a loupe. It is even blurry with a magnifying, lighted jeweler's loupe. But the logo appears to be circular with a line of text (unreadable) below it. It could be a globe. Or a big circle with a large S. The printing on the card is very pixelated.

My first thought was a rugby player, not soccer (football). Looks like he's just punted. Probably easier to identify the team's jersey design.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

He looks more like a rugby player - based on the collared shirt style & lack of shin guards.
Doesn't seem to be one of the NRL kits, or a national jersey. Maybe some English club team?

Thanks everyone for input. I'm hopeful that the rugby player (clearly I don't follow sports other than tennis enough), will be famous enough to be recognized. I have another "set" of Chinese swap cards featuring tennis players, and the picture on the back was Boris Becker...easy player to identify.

IDed the jersey. Overseas Union rugby team from 1986.
