Ricky and Willie in baseball. Tim in hockey (probably more well known for the donut shops). Things could get rather costly rather quickly.

I'm lucky, there's only one known professional athlete with my last name. I have 7 of his 9 cards.
-------------------------------
Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

None, nada, zilch and zero. No one wants my last name or we just aren't good enough to be athletes.....

Billy, I'm sure you'll find one or two. Your pretty famous here. A few took me about 10 years to find. Some I just stumble upon. I'm still on the hunt for one OLd Judge N172 card. Most I find on Ebay. I might over pay. But it's worth it. I never had too much luck with Hogan cards at shows when I was going to them. And that's been a long time.

Only one person ever made the connection with the 70s-80s Expo pitcher, and that was an elementary school gym teacher in the mid 1980s!
Though even before the days of events on the big screen, I’ve been...ummmm...found out about a certain...connection I’ll say *shifts eyes*

Zero in baseball; 1 player - 2 cards in hockey from 1925 (did not know he existed); none in non-sport even under the German spelling "Paulus" (that surprised me).

So we went from discussing the VARs that appartently exist in the '91 Conlon set to who shares a last name of an athlete. The ways of this site I guess; one thing leads to another ....

The Conlons are a good, and cheap way of getting cards of baseball players from the 1900s through 1930s of various levels of notoriety with shared names of the collector.
THERE! I brought it back around! ;)
