I've never paid a lot of attention to that card. I have the upside down logo and thought that was the only error. I have seen it referred to as upside down and reversed and just assumed it was the same card people were referring to. Something to look for but I would be surprised if a 3rd variation exists.

I looked at a bunch of photos of this card and one thing that is missing in this post, is not only the U is upside-down but the S is backward & or upside-down to and I did not see a card with only an upside-down U on it with a proper S.

So if you take the word CUBS and flip it over with the  U & S facing the wrong way, its right side up. So that makes it an upside-down logo. Check the S. Is it upside-down too?

What you are showing is the corrected card and the upside-down logo card. The 'B' and the registered symbol are also upside-down. Those are the same two cards already listed here.

I think Sandy is transfixed on the upsidedown U and is not seeing the S? Because I like oddball cards and looked around to find out about it. But I can't find any listing anywhere for a card where only the U is wrong. The card is 27 years old and odds are he is not seeing the backward S is also there. Also, he writes a reverse logo. The reverse would be, reading right to left.  Now in printing, you can not reverse a printing plate but you can flip it and if the printing is upside-down, that a flipped plate and someones getting yelled at. lol. 

Can you find a listing or a photo for it? Did you even try to look for it? I did for around 20 to 30 minutes and found nothing. 



Here, try this.... Take a piece of thin white paper and in marker write CUBS. Now look from the other side and you see the "CUBS" inverted. So that makes sense. If there was a different variation, I think I would have it by now or at least seen it by now.

The Cubs logo on the error card also has an upside down letter C and B, not just the U,S, and trademark . The logo is flipped on its horizontal axis. On TCDB it is referred to as "Upside down" and most other reference call it "Reversed" . All are talking about the same card error and just interchange the two terms (upside down / reversed) to describe it.

When people describe what to look for, the upside down U is made note of, Not because that is the only part upside down but because it is the most noticable thing to look for.
