Another good utility for that is Microsoft's Image Composite Editor, which is designed for merging separate images into a single image. It's a free download from Microsoft. It's great when you have to scan large images in pieces.

Bob....your image should look like this after cropping. Notice the white border all the way around the card. The image you shared had two of the white borders cropped off.
I guess I'm not understanding the problem your having....maybe move the image away from the edge of your scanner?

Yup my older scanner has a glitch, somedays its cuts off the top of the scan ..... only about 1/4" but enough for the card to be over cropped. Those days I simply tug it down about 1" so that doesnt happen. The old girl is petering out. My favorite all in one ever. Its even wireless. =( LOL

Most scanners have two little lines one at the bottom and one at the side. The lines are showing you the true edge of where the scan is happening. What I did is I cut a thin bit of cardboard just a little over the line and I just leave it on the scanner. That way I can just bump the card up against it so it stays straight and It will not cut the image off. Odds are this is what is happening to you. You're putting the card in the corner and you're over the lines where it does not scan. You can even use another card put it at the bottom center and bump the card you want against it to the center of the glass and you will get to complete image.

What is that behind you!?! Oh, It's me! Looking at the cards you have, That I want. :)

Good point, I used to have a small little ruler and did the same thing but my daughter "borrowed" it and that was that. Not sure why I never found a replacement. Lazy I think is the best answer!!
