I'm sure that this has already been covered in an earlier thread, but I cannot find it, and I want to be sure that I do it correctly. This set is SN299, but is split into 2 print runs, of (50) and (249). The first 50 cards(#'d 1-50) are signed in Gold ink. The remaining 249 cards(#'d 51-299) are signed in Silver ink. Are these listed as 2 seperate sets? Or, are they listed as one set, with a notation for the Gold and Silver ink? I have both versions. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You,
Paul

One set. A Note for the ink color is not necessary unless a specific card(s) has both ink color variations. But the way you stated it, cards #1-50 are only signed in gold ink, none in silver ink. And cards #51-299 are only signed in silver ink, none in gold ink. So, no Note for ink color is necessary.

Looks like it is just in one with no notations.

I hate when they do sets like this. Multiple very very subtle variations, varying print runs, no clear markings of variations.

I agree with captkirk42 about these type of sets. This is actually a Rookie AU/MEM subset in the base set. The set he linked actually should be deleted because it is a duplicate set. Note the Andrew Luck #322 card in the base set and the insert set linked above. They are the exact same scan from the same member!

I was just getting ready to ask a follow-up question about that 2nd set. But you answerd that for me SunDevil. I do have one more question though. I understand that the Rookie Gridiron Gems cards, are a subset of the base set, and I'm good with that solution. However I also noticed that Beckett (yes, I know, that's Beckett, not TCDB) has both cards listed seperately. They have the Silver Auto listed as: 2012 Gridiron #334 Stephen Hill JSY AU /249* RC SN299 PR249. Then they have the Gold Auto listed as: 2012 Gridiron Rookie Gridiron Gems Jersey Autographs Gold Ink #334 Stephen Hill SN299 PR50. Does that make a difference? Just trying to make sure I understand everything correctly. Thank You, to all who have responded, and helped point me in the right direction.

Now I understand what you were saying. Each card has a Gold and a Silver ink variation. So a Note for the variation would be called for.

I'm with the Captkrik42 I'm still working my excel file to match closer to sets here. My big issue is when I do any sorting of my excel file it looks like a big mess. As I try to keep my binders the same as my excel file so it is easier to find stuff . It is causing issue there also.

Yes, all cards have both Gold and Silver Variations.
So just to make sure I do it correct. Into (note2) I will put: VAR, AU, SN1-50 Gold Ink, SN51-299 Silver Ink. Or is there another way it should be worded, to meet any criteria on the database?
Thanks Again

Each card would have two entries on the checklist. To use your card as an example
334 Stephen Hill AU, MEM, SN299, RC, VAR New York Jets Note2: VAR: Gold ink (SN1-50)
334 Stephen Hill AU, MEM, SN299, RC, VAR New York Jets Note2: VAR: Silver ink (SN51-299)

Clarification, When I said all cards have both Gold and Silver Variations. I was strictly talking about the Gridiron Gems Rookie Auto subset. Which are the final 35 cards in the base set, Card #'s 301-335
So does that mean I should submit an inaccuracies report, asking for the checklist to be updated, to include 2 listings for each of the subset cards # 301-335? So that I can add the VAR info to both (note2) fields?
