Card Identification Forum

I was wondering if anyone had any insight on this card. It has the same look, feel, and color of the base cards, but on the bottom left side of the front is printed "FOIL 1", upside-down. I haven't seen any like this and I don't see a parallel listed in the database. I did a quick search and couldn't find any info. Is this simply a misprint?

Wow. I don't recall ever seeing that.

My first thought was some kind of misprint or printing error. Perhaps it is some sort of "instruction" printing intened to be on the very edge of a sheet that is normally cut off when the cards are cut for separation from the sheet?

thats weird.. i looked around and found that on Beckett and COMC, the Dallas Clark card is the only card that has that FOIL printed on it. not sure why. maybe a oversight on the print? 

Yeah, I figured that it was some sort of printing error. Interesting that the Clark is the only one. I appreciate the help, guys. 

That is SOOO odd. It can't be a printing error though, maybe. It would have to have been cut off the card and then the card's borders wouldn't match the rest of the set. Actually, a printing error could be the issue. Since it only appears on Clark's card, maybe he was the corner card on sheets for the foil-printed version and the "FOIL 1" was an instruction. It just was put too far up and that put it on the actual card. I'd love to hear some more ideas about how this happened to that specific card.
