Is their a reason why the 2018 Topps Instant Impact Auto's are listed as card #IIA-_ _? The Andruw Jones card I have is number II-17 SN 5/5. Just want to make sure I am not missing something here?
Thanks,
Scott

Pretty sure that someone somewhere added the A to distinquish between a regular II card and the AU version. My real question is why do Topps and Panini both have insert sets called Instant Impact in 2018 products? Who copied who on this one? I'm really tired of them both copying each other. Be Original already!

Looking at the checklist that was published on Cardboard Connection, it uses the same numbering as our checklist here. However, you card and the one Aaron Judge I found online this morning during a brief search share the same style of numbering - not what's on the checklist. Although IIA-Initials seems like a typical Topps numbering, I'd daresay that either the numbering was changed before release or the initial checklists were just plain wrong.
Unfortunately, with these cards being SN5, it'll be a bit of a pain to update our checklist. COMC has 0 for sale, including sold out, and the Judge is the only other one that I saw besides yours.

I'll never quit collecting entirely, but I am downsizing. Check out my COMC store and help me thin out what I don't want so I can buy cards that I do want. See something you like? Send me a message on here, and we can knock the price down quite a bit. I'll even take a bit of a loss if it means getting you a card you really want.

From what I have been able to find, all of the numbering matches the base Instant Impact cards from the set. It looks like they just didn't have all 50 with Auto's. Should I submit an IR to have them changed to the Ex. II-17 instead?

I just updated the set with the "semi" correct numbering.
There is an IR in place now to re-sort the cards. The reason they are "semi" correct is because I had to add zeroes in front of the single-digit numbers so they will sort correctly. Once the ste gets re-sorted, I will go in and remove the extraneous zeroes. But they are crucial to be there in the meantime.
I really wish card companies could release checklists where the numbers match what they wind up putting on the cards.
