These are from a box of 2018 NASCAR Donruss, yes the same box that so graciously gave me 9 blank white scraps of cardboard.
So which is card # 101 ive seen chklst online showing card 100 is Dale Jr and the Cardboard connection shows 101 as Dale Jr ?

It's not a mistake. It was intentional. Usually the variation cards are of the same person, but not for #101. I think there was another variation in the set that wasn't of the same person. We usually call them Nickname Variations.
Trust the CL on here. Billy, myself and a few others did a bunch of work fixing this CL after it was loaded wrong to make it right.

I guess they didn't know that the "Dale Earnhardt Jr." card is card #100, not #101 like the "Dale Jr." card. I have all three cards, so I can verify what the CL here says.

Then why does David Regan have the #101 on his card ? It 's not a Dale Jr variant so is it a misprint or a Jr wanna be ?

Yes I have the entire set, i opened an entire box, i was putting them into my binder when I noticed the cards, I have decided to call it a "mistake". I'm a Dale Jr fan, and yes it's an "insult" not a "variation", they didn't mess up any of Danica Patrick's cards anyways, Ok thanks guys
