Card Identification Forum

I purchased some Cincinnati Reds cards at a show yesterday. There were three 9 card sheets stated to be Red Foley stickers. I have identified all but five of them. I do not possess a smart phone, so I will try to do this first without pictures.

The five are sticker size, 1.5" X 2". They are white bacground with the player's picture in an oval and unnumbered. They are glossy, blank back and appear to be cardboard cutouts. Some of them have colored trim on the edges. The players are: Bip Roberts, Reggie Sanders, Eric Davis, Dave Parker and Chris Sabo. However, no year were all of these players on the team at the same time. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Those sound like they are cutout from the cover of the Red Foley books. If you look at Red Foley books on ebay, you will see how the front covers has sample players from the set. Those can be cut to look like the stickers.

You are probably right. The 1988 book on ebay has the same Eric Davis picture that I have. Never thought that someone would cut up covers for these. Thanks.

People will cut up anyything and try to sell it as a "proof"; posters, book covers, newspaper and magazine photos, you name it.  It is even annoyingly common for people simply to cut cards from uncut sheets to have larger borders and declare them as "proofs".
