Sorry for bumping an old thread, but in the course of educating myself here about rookie status I came across this thread and I had to post something: I HATE "ROOKIE PHENOMS", with a passion. Every eBay search for Tom Brady is littered with these, especially when searching from lowest-to-highest price. They are total scam cards. Not just "unlicensed", but an outright scam, considering the false copyright dates. I feel bad for anyone who gets suckered by it for a few dollars, but some of these listings are priced in the hundreds, which ought to be a crime, if it already isn't literally a crime. I cannot believe eBay hasn't issued a blanket ban on them. Is there any way to petition eBay to prohibit them? They must receive loads of complaints about them all the time, but for some reason they still allow them. Anyone know why, anyone know if there's a history of eBay making a (bad) judgment call to approve them for sale as mere "novelties"?
