It's a coin product with cards included, similar to Starling Lineup figures. According to the TCDB rules and guidelines, we can list the cards here, but not the coins - just like we list the cards that came with starting lineups, but not the figures.

I have to disagree, by those rules then the mint coins should not be listed here either just the cards.
1996-97 Pinnacle Mint - Coins Brass Hockey Checklist | Trading Card Database (tcdb.com)
I understand not putting figurines as really nothing to do with it, but the coins are very much part of the collection, in fact if it wasnt for the coin i would never own the cards.

No, the base product of Pinnacle Mint were cards. They were even marketed as cards with coins. The coins were inserts to a card product. (Plus, they are made by a card company, so they meet 2 of the criteria for inclusion, whereas the ones you are asking us to list do not meet either one.)

again as a user of the site and a collector, i would like to see them listed becasue they are a tradeable item and they are a card with coin. They are produced by a repitable company thats been around for years and they are endoresded by the NHL, not to mention the coins are a real american quarter. I am sure other collectors would love to have them as well to complete their sets by being able to trade. Is that not what this site is about? Not sure why its such a big issue? is the server running out of room and adding this one more item is going to break it? Who is it going to hurt having it on the site? is it going to piss any buddy off that its there? i dont think so, in fact i think it would piss off more that its not there. I love the site for keeping track of my card collectables and this is a card collectable and i dont think it would hurt anybody to have it on the site but rather help other collectors keep track of thiers as well. I said i would scan and upload all the pics for it so i would be doing hte heavy lifting, unless there is something behind the sceen that i dont know about. Please consider my request. Ps, are you the admin of this site or just another user?

I can see you're relatively new here so I can understand why you're asking these questions. In short, this site was created by one person, referred to as Admin. Over time, he's instituted rules regarding what can and can't be listed. "I would like _____" is a very common sentiment here, but this is a database for everyone, not just what you want. The rules are in place to make sure we don't open the DB up to a whole can of worms of collectable items, because this is the Trading CARD Database. There are occasionally exceptions, and those are made by Admin, so you need to contact him directly. You can make arguments in the forum as much as you want, but ultimately, what he says goes. Failure to follow those rules makes the database worse, not better, and can result in users losing their permissions to add items. So please read through the FAQs and familiarize yourself with how the site works, and feel free to bring questions about how to use the site here.

To answer the questions that FreehanSolo did not answer.
I am another user here, but I have been here a while, and I have familiarized myself with the rules and guidelines. In fact, I was involved in the creation of the document found in the FAQ regarding the R&G for the use of Notes (which wound up covering several other areas). I also have been involved with several of the larger projects here, and have consulted Admin on several occasions regarding the inclusion of "Other Collectibles". This includes items that are not trading cards produced by trading card companies and trading cards that were included with non-card items.
So, am I an admin? No.
Do I have a firm grasp of what's allowed and what is not? Yes.
This isn't about who would be upset with what is added versus what isn't added. This is strictly about adhering to the site's rules regarding set inclusion. As stated previously, based entirely on the site's rules, the cards that were included are eligible for inclusion here. The coins are not.

ok so lets include the cards, but it should be noted that the coins come with the cards as you can't buy the cards with out the coins and you can't buy the coins with out the cards. Also on another note there are gold coins as well, each card has a coin (regular) and then like other card sets you get that extra special one radomly inserted thus being a gold coin.
The only reason i posted in here becasue i was asked to show the admin pictures of the front and back of the card, i didnt enter it here to create a augument. Sure i have been on the site for a year, so i dont consider that a short time, maybe not as long as others but how long i have been a member doesnt mater to what we are discusing. I AM A COLLECTOR, this card and coin is a collectable and in retuen needs to be on the site so myself and others who collect this card and coin can have a place to keep track of it and maybe make trades with others who have the same collection but just do'nt know what to do iff they can't find it on the site.
Just becasue you dont like something doesnt mean others will not like it, i get what your saying about rules, but i am not asking for a funko to be lsited, i am asking for a card and coin collectable, the last time i looked that is what this site is for. If this doesnt get listed on the site then i believe the site is doing a disservice to its members.

I too am a collector, that's what led me to this site in the first place. Not everything that is "collectible" is eligible for this site. I collect music (LPs, CDs, etc.) and pocket schedules and basballs and magnetic schedules - they are collectible. They can be traded. None of which are eligible for inclusion here.
As for your argument about not being able to get the cards without the coins - direct parallel to the Starting Lineups (which I mentioned in the first place). Couldn't get those cards without the whole package - which the main focus was the figure. And now that these are on the secondary market, the cards can be found without the coins - just as the coins are going to be found without the cards.
Please submit the checklist of the cards and we will add them to the site. You can add in the User Comments about the set all the triviata about the product in which these were packaged. Thank you,
