Today's the Army's birthday? That seems like it would lead to an update of Admin's Random Card of the Day Coincidences chart!

June 14 1774

Just came back from ceremony on Fort Hood. The cutting of the cake where oldest and youngest Soldier cuts caker. Makes me want to cry, love these traditions

Army now copying off the Marine Corps. When i was active duty 90-93 we NEVER celebrated the birthday.

Can't believe I spaced on this.... I was active duty Army from 1997-2012 before being medically retired. I normally at least recognize the Army's Birthday and 3d Infantry DIvision's birthday. Call me lame, but after 15 years and 4 year or longer combat tours (Iraq and Afghanistan)... I miss it.

Some days I want to put the old uniform on and see if they still have room for a slightly broken and mostly creaking CW3. Lol

Good stuff.
