About two or three weeks ago I was at my favorite shop when 3 people walked in. I took one look and instantly the hairs on the back of my neck stood up. One kept walking around like he was casing the place. He seemed surprised to see me as I was back in a corner going through some boxes. The girl kept looking at stuff on the shelves and then looking towards the owner and the other male. Long story short I think they were planning to rob the place but my being there screwed it up. They solld some unopened blasters and then left.

 Fast forward to this past week. My friend tells me that two of them came back. The way he described it; they were trying to confuse him so they could steal something. In the end the quickly grabbed some stuff off the counter he was showing them and ran out the door. They didn't get much: only an autographed Russel Wilson rookie and a coule of other things. This Happened in Kent, Washington. So please get the word around to be on the look out and watch your backs. 

We were talking about it two days ago and both agree that these people are obviously not collectors or they would know how much of a tight knit community we are.

Any chance that Wilson AU was serial numbered? A serial number to watch for on eBay would help helpful beyond that location. 

do you know what set and year it was

Yeah, the set and SN from that card would be the most informative to watch for online.

cd28 - his RC year was 2012.

I do know it was an autographed rookie. I have to wait till Monday or Tuesday before I see him again. Not to sound selfish but one thing about it that gets to me is my big brother was telling me that the one card he wanted was an autographed Wilson rookie. I was in there and was going to pick it up for his Christmas present.

I just noticed what you wrote. FYI I live in Seattle and I bleed Blue and green. Been a 12 since 1976.

I would also check local craigslist's.  When I was in college in portland, working retail, a lot of the shoplifted merchandise was then sold on craigslist.  

I hate shoplifters......with a passion. Worked retail for over 15 years in stores.  When ever you get a bad feeling when people come in a store, you are probably +90% correct about your inner feelings, kill them with kindness and dont let anything out of your site. 

This was also why I posted the other day about my packs being jacked up and resealed in the DFW mid cities area.  I cannot stand those people that are schisters.

something else that occured, not to take away from the original posting- i had someone mail me a couple cards in a PWE. 

I receieved the envelope but it was torn completely on the short side, from one end to the other as it was delivered in a sealed viewable Post Office mailer, with a tamper seal from the PO. Long story short- someone thought by the feel of it, that a gift card was inside, was tore open the envelope, then realized it was a football card and passed it through.

I know it cost it a little more, but may want to use some extra tape or a bubbler until the holidays are over. 

Tony - not to say that there aren't crooks out there (there are), but that sounds like something that could happen in the automated mail sorting machines that all PWE's go through. Top loaders cause envelopes to get jammed in those machines all the time.
