I received a message from my Mom this morning that it looks like the cancer hasn't spread. The first glimmer of maybe good news since this started.

Good luck to your sister, B! My aunt had breast cancer several years ago. After a year of chemo, doctors said she was cancer-free. Not long after that, she found out she had it in the other breast. She opted for a double mastectomy and has been cancer-free for quite a while now (wanna say 3 years clear).

My grandmother had to have a radical mastectomy back around 1960. She passed in 2009. Medicine has made VAST improvements in the past 60 years. If they were able to save her for almost 40 years (she was 88 when she died), just think what can be done these days. Here's to being hopeful for the best!

Sorry this has happened to you
have an idea that may help you the next go round just an idea
if you have family close by and they have parcels mailed to the house ask them for the time being if you can use their address to have your items shipped too
story takes me back about 7-8 years ago I had my pick up broke into. Reported to the police and nothing came out of it. A month later again and again the police had no leads so I booby trapped my pickup doors with razor blades and a week later I was hit again. He didn't get in my pickup but he left a blood trail to the ally way and about 6 houses down went to the back gate into the yard. I left a note on the door of the house stating " I have no pitty in you and I hope you lost a finger or 2 that's what you get for trying to break into my truck. You try it again next time it will be a bullet "
the neighbors packed up and moved just 3 weeks later they never told the cops and I never reported it because booby trapping is against the law and 2 wrongs don't make a right but in this case my neighborhood didn't have a problem again

So, last night I discovered I have totally messed up my main collection Excel chart...the one that forms the backbone of my entire collection records...and I determined I messed it up in 2017 sometime. I discovered that my entire NASCAR collection totals...the second largest part of the collection is wrong.
That means, eventually, I'm going to have to sort my entire NASCAR collection by person...but I have to finish scanning them first. I won't likely finish that anytime soon, possibly not even this decade...even though we are only three months into it. Yeah, pretty upset last night and now today as well.

That sucks, Billy! I'd be PO'd too. Oddly, NASCAR is the 3rd largest portion of my entire card collection (after MLB and NFL). Even though my 2 largest single-athlete collections are NASCAR drivers (as are about half of the Top-10). But that is also why my "lists" of my collection are just digital lists on Beckett and TCDB. I'd hate to write or type all that info to find that I made an error somewhere that screws up the whole list.

It's funny...I have roughly 93,500 NBA cards, and only 34,000 NASCAR cards...yet most of the top 10 of most people in my collection totals are all NASCAR. A lot of that is due to the way the sport is handled on cardboard, with the top guys getting many, many inserts and even multiple cards in the base set. So while there's less cards, they are more concentrated around a smaller number of people.
It does stink, but I knew that when I finished scanning, I was going to sort them anyway, back into sets. Guess I'll have to just a couple of weeks to the project. Not that I don't enjoy sorting, but I'm mad at myself for messing it up.
I think I may have saved the wrong version at some point, but it seems to only affect NASCAR. My numbers for the NBA and the NHL match what appears in each person's scan folder, so I think I'm good there. I hope.

I have some NOT good news too. I've been sitting on this one for a while b/c I was asked to do so, so it's not actually something that happened today or even this week. But it ties right into previous replies in this thread. My Mom found out that she has breast cancer and it was confirmed the 1st week of March. She asked me not to say anything to anyone (even online) when she found out for sure. She didn't even tell me, my sister or my brother until it was confirmed. But her mother, sister and several other family members had a vacation to DisneyWorld planned for this weekend. She didn't want to ruin their vacation with that info! And then COVID-19 ruined that for them anyway. The NC family members did fly to TX to meet up with my cousin and his wife/kids. I don't know if they flew to Orlando anyway, but I know they won't be visiting DisneyWorld b/c it is closed.
Mom had a port installed between the collarbone and breast Friday morning for easy access to her bloodstream without sticking needles in her arms continuously throughout her treatment. She starts chemotherapy Monday morning. It's not an advanced stage of cancer, so I'm hoping it was caught early enough that recovery time will be as short as possible. Only time will tell though. My Mom is tough and resilient! She's already survived a propane explosion that gave her 3rd degree burns over 75% of her body and forced a medically-induced coma for 3 months back in 2001. Then she suffered a dog bite on an index finger a few years later that eventually led to a bone infection that led to her having half of that finger permenantly removed. Yet she's charged on after each of those long-term issues. At least with the breast cancer issue, she does know survivors who can help her get through it. I have no idea when she'll tell her sisters, but one has already been through it twice. And she knows a couple of co-workers that have been through it too. Just knowing those survivors probably helped as it led her to screening for it often.
I'm worried about her, but not as worried as I feel like I should be. I just know how strong Mom is and I hope I can be there for her mentally as much as physically. I don't want her to feel like I don't care just because I am not showing emotion for it. I want her to feel like I KNOW that she will beat it and will move on with her life as if it never happened. She's done it with so many previous problems. But I also don't want to show any emotion (especially fear) that makes her think that she won't beat it!
