Hi all!
since i watched my first basketball-game on tv in 1995 i dream of watching a nba-game live. so for the last couple of years i tried to save some money for a journey from Austria to the USA - an now it´s time.
i´ll stay in Charlotte from march 1st to 8th and watch all 4 hornets-games. i really hope to see MJ in the arena...
additionally i try to buy some cards for my collections because buying cards in Austria is not that easy. Does anyone in here have some tipps for me regarding my visit at the NBA-Games and with catching some good cards in nc?
thanks for your help!

That sounds like the trip of a life time. I've only been to one NBA game in Boston. I know there are members here that live in North Carolina. They will be alot of help with information. Let us know how things go.

That is cool. When you get there, do a google search for card shops. You will find them that way. Then you can ask people in the card store's questions, so write them down and have fun.

What is that behind you!?! Oh, It's me! Looking at the cards you have, That I want. :)

That's awesome that you can finally see a game in person. I've only been to one, watching OKC at home a couple years ago. Work trip and we were staying at the hotel right next to the arena. Nothing better to do that night so...
We do have a few members from NC so hopefully some of them can read this and help point you in the right direction.

Enjoy your time in Charlotte and enjoy the games! As I am from Pennsylvania I have no clue on the card shop scene in North Carolina.

Hi reinair,
I've just come back from a trip to the USA (California/Nevada/NYC) and I have the same problem as you. It's hard to buy NBA cards in Europe. Basically it's super expensive with the shipping and import taxes.
I went to Walmart Superstores to pick up NBA Hoops blaster boxes and "fat packs". I was told Target had cards, but found none in the (many) stores I visited. Look closely at Walmart because you can find them near the check-outs, but not all of them! Some only have candy and food. If you fly via New York City and have time, visit Montasy Comics, they have cards.
What I did was order online from Steel City Collectibles and having them shipped to my hotel in NYC. That worked great! Stuffed an entire sports bag on the way home.
Enjoy your games!!!

Congrats and enjoy the trip. If you're on Twitter hit up Colbey @flywheels he lives near Charlotte and should be able to tell you where to go.
