The news just came out that Ramon Laureano  tested positive for PED. If you're wondering why he was so good against your team, well, now you know why. 

Very disappointing.  I'm a fan of his.  His reputation is forever tarnished.  Bummer.  Not a great day for the A's with Fosse stepping away from the booth as well.   On the hand, maybe Khris Davis can regain form.  Looks like there may be a roster spot for him.

What I find interesting is that he used the same lines that every other player who tests positiv used, like verbatim. I didn't do it, I play clean, I eat clean, I would never knowingly, I must have gotten it from somewhere else

It's not a characterization of guilt/innocence. Just funny how the statements start reading alike.

Well I'm thoroughly disappointed. It was a Ramon Laureano framed mini autograph #/25 in a retail 2019 Allen & Ginter that triggered my return to the hobby. Just a beautiful card. Such a cool concept, and I've been crazy hooked now for the last 18 months (I know, terrible timing as a buyer/collector). So much for hoping to flip that card someday in the distant future.

Yeah I am sure the publicist gives them a script.  A least he did not pull a Sammy Sosa and claim he does not speak english after 12 years of interviews in English.

what really got me was the claim that the test was a result of some sort of contamination of his sample, which to me is even beyond the classic "i dunno" response.

On a related note, if you were, say Mike Trout, how could you ever eat at any restaurant when there is a chance, even slight, of someone sprinkling something in your food that would tarnish your legacy forever (most people would choose to not believe him even if it could be proved)?

I agree! If you're saying you're body is a temple and all that nonsense, then you HAVE to know what goes in it.
