Don't get to see much Hockey being from Houston but did notice that five of the seven Canadien teams are back in the playoffs this year after being shut-out last year. I am greatful that I was able to see Gordie Howe along with Mark and Marty when they played for the Aeros in the old WHA.

I like your thinking especially the cup final.
My First Round:
Chicago over Nashville
Minnesota over St. Louis
Anaheim over Calgary
San Jose over Edmonton (although it has been a while for Edmonton)
Montreal over New York
Boston over Ottawa (yawn yawn)
My Homies over the Blue Leafs
Da Pitts over Columbus
Hmmm Cup final gotta be Caps over whoever ...lets get wild and say Minnesota

What are these play-offs of which you all speak? Hockey season in the Carolinas has ended about this time for the last eight years (sadly).

Dat my boyz!!!!! LOL Back to back shutouts for everyone's favorite goalie (well not me I guess eh) ........... what a rush. =)
As for my picks .............. Blackhawks (DOWN) and New York has it tough with the Habs. Otherwise not too bad so far. Washington and Boston could smarten up a tad too.

Let's go BUFFALO!!! STANLEY CUP!!! Oh yeah, I forgot, the playoffs have only been a wild dream in Buffalo for a few years now. I do love the one NBC commercial showing the cup and having Rick Jennearette screaming May-Day, May-Day, May-Day!! Still brings tears to my eyes. Greatest goal call in the history of hockey! If you haven't heard it, you can youtube it, but it doesn't do it justice. You have to know the Sabres status at that time and that it was OT of a series clincher! The Sabres hadn't won a playoff series in ages. I was on the phone with my cousin when he scored and jumped and screamed so loud I didn't realize I had thrown the phone and broke it into a million pieces. Still cannot believe the LaFontaine pass from his back on the ice. Oh the memories! Good luck to all you have still have a team in the game and for my Sabres, NEXT YEAR BABY!!!!!

Billy, you are in for a treat. Hockey playoffs are by far one of the best things in sports. And wait until your first game 7! Oh man, there is nothing like it. I love the NBA, but hockey playoffs are just something else.
By the way, for anyone watching this Penguins/Blue Jackets Game 4, this third period is awesome!

Sorry to beat a dead horse, but I had to relive some Sabre glory. I posted the link from youtube below. Before the face off, Brad May is shown kissing his stick, which isn't captured in this video. It was foreshadowing. For those who don't know, May wasn't a scorer, but a fighter, the least likely of heroes. The pass from LaFontaine's back and then the move May puts of HOFer Ray Borque is just amazing. Then he freezes Andy Moog (not sure if he is in the HOF, but if not you can make a case). Jeanerrette takes it home from there! Hope you enjoy and if not, thanks for humoring a fan who lately only has memories of his team come April!

My friend I watched that game live ..... one of my all time favorite memories from that era. Was hoping for Buffalo the American small market team. =)
Oh and BTW ..... what a pathetic stinker tonight, call me terrible but I switched it to American Pickers after the sixth goal. UGH
Game 7 overtime Billy ............... it will nearly kill you I swear.

OK I'm watching the Oilers and you aren't? The world must be coming to an end soon, or something
I have found myself watching more hockey this playoff season than NBA. Trying to catch them on repeats but I've missed more than I usually do. I hate that they are on at the same time because I want to watch both...if I could rig up a way to keep my Tablet charging in the wall while I was at my computer I might be able to make it happen but the plug is too far away and the tablet jack's cord is too short...hmm...
I'm starting to get my mom into it, too! She's watching the NBA playoffs and keeping me updated on what I'm missing though...
Muskie, I'll watch that video when this game gets done or tomorrow morning...don't want to miss the end of this one, although I am pretty sure I know how it's going to end...
