Has anyone ever seen some sports related comics put out by Revolutionary Comics? I have 3 now - Baseball Superstars Nolan Ryan and Bo Jackson and Baseball Legends Lou Gehrig. I am supposed to pick up a Sandy Koufax tomorrow to add a fourth.
Just wondering if anyone else has any of these, if they are still being produced, or knows where a person can buy them.

Never seen them at the local comics shops around western PA, but then again I never really looked for them. Ebay seems to have a boat load. Saw titles ranging from Ted Williams to Elvis Presly to Vanilla Ice.

Weren't they an early 1990s thing? Sports stars, entertainers, singers, actors, models If they were a big celeb they had a comic. Usually a one-off. I seem to recall there was one comic publisher in particular that would have special editions of the comics that came with a trading card that was usually of the cover image. Since it was early 1990s I don't recall the details. I do recall some of the covers had gold borders. Either they were the "golden edition" or that was their preferred design style.

Just looked it up - they had done 3 about the rock band Queen. I remember either having one, or looking through one and realizing it was utter trash. (At least in my opinion.)

Did anyone read about the founder of the comics? Just read that he was murdered.

Actually picked up 2 yesterday - Baseball Legends Sandy Koufax and Baseball Stars Pete Rose. Now have 5. The cover is the nicest part of the comic - the inside is black and white.

These comics aren't often the most accurate from a factual standpoint, but I enjoy reading them. I own a number of the music ones they've released (Metallica, AC/DC, Rolling Stones, etc.), and a few months ago I grabbed some sports related ones. I've got one of Wayne Gretzky, and around 5 or 6 of baseball (and Bo Jackson which of course covers two sports). You can get them for a few bucks each typically.
I wrote a blog entry about the Rock n Roll Comics line a few months ago: https://armchairmaestro.wordpress.com/2017/07/23/rock-n-roll-comics-revolutionary-comics/
